Worked on enhancing the stability of the GDB JIT Interface within the espressif/binutils-gdb repository, focusing on debugging workflows involving custom jit-readers. Addressed a crash by ensuring proper initialization of section offsets for objfiles generated by these jit-readers, which restored linetable integrity and improved reliability for low-level debugging scenarios. Added a regression test to verify that linetable integrity is maintained under various JIT-reader conditions, reinforcing the robustness of the solution. Utilized C++ and applied expertise in compiler development and low-level programming to deliver targeted improvements, resulting in a more stable and predictable experience for developers using the JIT path.
