During December 2024, Liuyang Yang focused on improving the stability of the GDB JIT Interface within the espressif/binutils-gdb repository. He addressed a crash caused by uninitialized section offsets in objfiles generated by custom jit-readers, restoring linetable integrity for debugging workflows. His technical approach involved low-level programming in C++ and in-depth debugging to identify and resolve the root cause. To ensure the robustness of the fix, he also implemented a regression test that verifies linetable integrity under JIT-reader scenarios. This work enhanced the reliability of the JIT path, reflecting strong skills in compiler development and debugging.
