Worked on the sentry-demos/empower repository to deliver a comprehensive observability upgrade and refactor, focusing on modernizing the Sentry integration and infrastructure. Upgraded the Sentry Node.js SDK from version 7 to 10 and updated Express.js to the latest release, enhancing both tracing support and instrumentation across service boundaries. Refactored server and database configurations, removed deprecated features, and updated API syntax to align with current best practices. Simplified error handling and restructured configurations to improve maintainability and troubleshooting. Utilized JavaScript, Node.js, and the Sentry SDK to reduce technical debt and enable faster root-cause analysis for future development efforts.
