Kushu contributed to the kubernetes/autoscaler repository by enhancing test reliability and project governance over a two-month period. In February, Kushu improved the Cluster Autoscaler simulator’s test suite by updating PodInfo comparisons to ignore unexported fields, reducing false test failures and increasing CI stability. This technical approach, implemented in Go with a focus on testing best practices, enabled more accurate validation of pod logic. In March, Kushu streamlined the code review process by updating the OWNERS file to add new approvers, reinforcing governance and collaboration. Throughout, Kushu demonstrated depth in Go, Kubernetes, and testing methodologies while addressing project needs.

March 2025 focused on governance and process improvements for the Kubernetes autoscaler project. Implemented a code ownership update to streamline code reviews and approvals, reinforcing governance for the hack directory ownership.
