Developed and delivered a build artifact identification and isolation feature for the qualcomm-linux/meta-qcom repository, focusing on improving build system reliability and artifact organization. The solution introduced unique build IDs by prefixing them with the repository name and appending the run attempt number, effectively reducing cross-repo conflicts and misattribution of artifacts on the fileserver. Leveraging CI/CD practices and GitHub Actions, the work established a scalable pattern for artifact naming that supports reproducible builds and safer cross-repo workflows. The implementation, written in YAML, enables faster triage, cleaner artifact catalogs, and enhances the overall reliability of build asset management processes.
