Worked on the ministryofjustice/modernisation-platform-environments repository to establish foundational Terraform state management for infrastructure deployments. The approach involved configuring AWS resources using HCL and Terraform, including provisioning an S3 bucket for centralized state storage, enabling encryption at rest with KMS, and implementing DynamoDB for state locking. This setup created a secure and auditable workflow for managing infrastructure changes, supporting safe multi-user collaboration and reducing the risk of state corruption or drift. The contribution focused on enhancing the reliability and security of infrastructure as code practices, with all changes version-controlled to ensure traceability and maintainability within the deployment process.
