During February 2025, M. Jangda focused on improving the macOS installation process for the 1Password CLI within the cashapp/hermit-packages repository. By transitioning the installer packaging from a .pkg to a .zip archive, Jangda addressed persistent unpacking and renaming errors, resulting in a more reliable and user-friendly onboarding experience for macOS users. This work leveraged skills in DevOps, package management, and HCL, and contributed to the broader goal of cross-platform packaging consistency. The solution reduced potential support overhead by increasing first-run success rates, demonstrating careful attention to installer reliability engineering and effective change management through Git-based traceability.
