Worked on the winterheart/gentoo repository to deliver an upgrade of the Hugin package to the 2024.0rc1 release candidate. This involved updating the package manifest and ebuild files using Ebuild, with a focus on build systems and package management. Dependencies were adjusted to include TIFF support for the vigra library, ensuring compatibility with upstream changes and improving the upgrade path for Gentoo users. The work was captured in a dedicated version bump commit, reflecting a methodical approach to maintaining package reliability. Over the month, the contribution centered on a single feature, emphasizing careful dependency management and release compatibility.
