Jonathan Mai developed a telemetry dashboard UI overhaul and fault visualization feature for the formulaslug/fs-3 repository, focusing on real-time diagnostics for battery management system faults and motor controller status. Using C++ and leveraging his skills in embedded and real-time systems, he redesigned the debugging screen by removing the charging status display, updating status semantics, and lowering the dashboard refresh rate to optimize performance. These changes reduced data processing load and improved telemetry visualization during burst conditions. Delivered through two well-documented commits, Jonathan’s work demonstrated depth in user interface design and careful attention to resource constraints typical of embedded environments.
