During April 2025, Mario Geckler focused on enhancing data reliability for the evcc-io/evcc repository by addressing a bug in charging status calculation. He refined the logic to ensure only positive actual charging current values were considered, directly improving the accuracy of Teslamate integration. Mario updated the YAML-based configuration to apply a jq filter, which stabilized data processing and reduced edge-case failures. Leveraging his skills in configuration and IoT, he delivered a targeted fix that minimized codebase impact while improving downstream analytics and dashboard accuracy. This work contributed to more trustworthy charging metrics and better business insights for users.
