Worked on the konflux-ci/release-service-catalog repository to enhance the reliability of automated build pipelines by introducing a controlled retry mechanism for authentication tasks. Addressed issues with repeated kinit attempts in Koji task flows by implementing a 2-second backoff between retries, reducing unnecessary load on authentication services and minimizing network traffic. This change specifically improved the push-rpm-to-koji and promote-koji-draft-build workflows, resulting in more stable and predictable pipeline behavior under retry scenarios. Utilized DevOps practices and scripting skills, primarily working with YAML to define and update pipeline configurations. The work focused on operational stability rather than feature expansion or bug fixes.
