Worked on the kgateway-dev/kgateway repository to enhance deployment stability by addressing a critical TLS configuration issue in Helm templates. Focused on correcting the xDS TLS environment variable reference, the work ensured that deployments no longer suffered from mismatches that could lead to production drift or increased risk. Using DevOps practices and leveraging Kubernetes and YAML, the developer validated changes across environments to maintain consistent TLS behavior. The approach emphasized traceability, with descriptive commits and clear pull request links, supporting efficient audits and rollbacks. This targeted bug fix improved the reliability of xDS-based TLS configuration without introducing new features.
