Developed and delivered an AMI URL Redirect Feature for the canonical/ubuntu.com repository, enabling automatic redirection of AMI links to the latest LTS mini ISO release. This solution streamlined user access to Ubuntu 24.04.4 images, reducing confusion and support overhead by ensuring downstream systems always reference the current LTS version. The approach leveraged backend development skills, URL management, and YAML configuration to create a maintainable redirect mechanism that adapts easily to future LTS updates. Collaboration with release engineering ensured alignment with accessibility goals, while Git-based traceability supported transparent change management throughout the feature’s implementation and deployment process.
