Worked on the CarnegieLearningWeb/UpGrade repository to enhance frontend configuration security by migrating environment variable management from Vault to AWS Systems Manager (SSM). This transition reduced the exposure of sensitive credentials and streamlined the process of secret rotation, resulting in more consistent and reliable deployments across multiple environments. The implementation established a secure, auditable pipeline for retrieving frontend configuration, which improved incident response and onboarding for new environments. Leveraging AWS, DevOps practices, and Groovy, the work focused on configuration management best practices, ensuring safer feature releases and greater deployment confidence without introducing new bugs during the development period.
