Worked on the sixfeetup/scaf repository to streamline the scaffolding script by removing the challenge workflow, OAuth flow, server setup, and related API calls, thereby narrowing the script’s focus to core project creation functionality. Used Shell Scripting to refactor the codebase, leveraging the Copier tool to simplify project initialization and reduce onboarding complexity. This targeted simplification improved maintainability and reduced the risk of future issues by eliminating unnecessary components. The approach emphasized clarity and ease of use, ensuring that the script now serves as a focused utility for project creation, with a leaner codebase that is easier to maintain and extend.
