Worked on the duckduckgo/duckduckgo-locales repository to expand localization coverage for new AI features, focusing on the introduction of AI-related tokens and UI strings across multiple languages. Leveraged internationalization and localization skills to update the localization pipeline, enabling automated generation of localized PO strings for AI chat interactions, error messages, and settings. Collaborated closely with product and i18n teams to standardize AI terminology, ensuring consistency across locales. This work addressed gaps in locale coverage and improved the global user experience for AI features, laying the groundwork for future AI adoption while maintaining a streamlined and scalable localization process.
