During December 2024, Micah Culpepper developed Neutron Trunk Plugin support for the rackerlabs/understack repository, enabling the connection of multiple networks to a single physical port through trunking. He implemented this feature by updating both the service code and the deployment configuration in aio-values.yaml, ensuring the 'trunk' plugin was included in service_plugins for proper runtime behavior. Leveraging his expertise in Cloud Networking, DevOps, and OpenStack, Micah used YAML to manage configuration changes. This work improved network scalability and reduced port provisioning overhead, allowing for faster deployment of multi-network environments and demonstrating a focused, well-integrated engineering contribution.
