During December 2025, Mir-CI-Bot contributed to the canonical/mir repository by enhancing the release process and improving packaging hygiene for the Mir 2.25.x series. They addressed a packaging metadata issue by fixing missing PkgConf versions, ensuring accurate downstream integration. Using C, C++, and CMake, Mir-CI-Bot updated release notes and changelogs to document enhancements, bug fixes, and ABI changes, which improved developer communication and customer-facing documentation. By formalizing the release candidate process and maintaining disciplined version management, they reduced post-release issues and streamlined deployment. The work demonstrated a thorough approach to system programming, package management, and release management within the project.
