Worked on rebranding and reorganizing the flexpart-cosmo package to flexpart-cosmo-icon within the C2SM/spack-c2sm repository, focusing on improving packaging consistency and maintainability. The effort involved updating the class name, homepage, and repository URL to align with the new package identity, as well as adapting associated tests to reflect these changes. Using Python and leveraging skills in code refactoring and package management, the work streamlined the package’s structure for downstream users and continuous integration workflows. No major defects were reported during this period, indicating a smooth migration and careful attention to organizational and technical details throughout the process.
