Developed a RAT risk reporting feature for the ossf/malicious-packages repository, focusing on enhancing visibility into malicious npm packages exhibiting Remote Access Trojan behavior. Leveraging skills in data reporting, malware analysis, and security research, the work involved implementing detailed JSON-based reports that outline RAT functionalities and associated risks within the npm ecosystem. This feature enables more informed risk assessment and governance for package supply chains. Collaboration with other contributors and thorough documentation supported cross-team understanding and improved triage efficiency. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on delivering robust, security-focused reporting capabilities for the project.
