Developed fingerprint support for the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid 2020 variant within the sunnypilot/opendbc repository, focusing on enhancing vehicle identification and interfacing capabilities. The work involved extending the existing fingerprinting framework by adding new firmware version strings for both forward radar and forward camera ECUs, ensuring accurate recognition of this specific vehicle model. Leveraging expertise in automotive software and embedded systems, the implementation was carried out using Python to integrate seamlessly with the repository’s architecture. This update addressed the need for reliable variant detection, enabling more robust support for the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid 2020 in embedded automotive applications.
