Worked on the google/digitalbuildings repository to optimize the scoring pipeline, focusing on both performance and test reliability. Addressed redundant ontology validation by deferring checks and updating BuildUniverse to use a default types filepath, which streamlined scoring runs and reduced unnecessary computation. Improved test reliability by updating ontology path assertions, ensuring that tests accurately reflected intended behavior and reducing CI flakiness. Centralized changes to ontology path handling, which simplified future maintenance and audits. Utilized Python for scripting and debugging, with a strong emphasis on testing and tooling to align technical improvements with business value and enhance overall development workflows.
