Worked on the Metrolist repository to deliver full Japanese localization of the Android application’s user interface, translating 825 user-facing strings and updating compliance-related warnings for Discord integration. Leveraged XML for string management and utilized Weblate to implement a traceable, repeatable localization workflow, ensuring status visibility and translation quality. Focused on improving internationalization readiness by establishing clear translation processes and adapting messaging for Japanese users. The work positioned Metrolist for entry into the Japanese market, providing a fully localized UI and laying the groundwork for future language support. Core skills applied included Android development, localization, and translation workflow optimization.
