Worked on enhancing observability and debugging for the IBM/CodeEngine repository by improving the Python structured logging sample. Focused on backend development, the work involved refining the logging setup to ensure consistent and clear log output. Introduced a custom JSON sink to standardize log formatting, making downstream parsing more reliable and facilitating better monitoring. Implemented robust error handling to capture and log uncaught exceptions, supporting faster incident diagnosis and response. The improvements increased the maintainability and clarity of the demonstration, making it easier for developers to onboard and understand structured logging practices within Python-based CodeEngine samples, with an emphasis on reliability.
