The update replaced actual date labels with generic identifiers, Day 1 through Day 7, to improve consistency and readability across weekly trend analyses. This change reduced cognitive load for analysts and made dashboards easier to interpret, supporting faster decision-making. The implementation focused on maintainability within the charting module, demonstrating skills in backend development and data visualization standards. Python was used throughout the process, with careful attention to commit hygiene and documentation to ensure clarity and ease of future maintenance for the component.
