Worked on the Metrolist repository to deliver Sinhala localization, establishing a foundation for broader language support and improved accessibility. Developed a new XML resource containing translations for 62 strings, leveraging XML and translation skills to integrate Sinhala into the application. Utilized a Weblate-driven workflow to manage and track translation progress, ensuring a scalable and maintainable localization process. The approach enabled the project to reach approximately 7.5% translation coverage, with clear pathways for future updates. This work addressed the need for inclusive user experiences and set up a process that facilitates ongoing localization efforts for Sinhala-speaking users within Metrolist.
