Developed and shipped the ServiceNow Integration Entity Definition within the newrelic/entity-definitions repository, introducing a dedicated NGEP domain entity type for ServiceNow integration. Focused on configuration management using YAML, the work involved setting the entity’s expiration to manual and disabling alerts to minimize unnecessary notifications, thereby supporting more controlled lifecycle governance for integrations. This approach allows teams to manage ServiceNow integration entities with greater precision and less operational noise. The implementation emphasized maintainability and clarity in configuration, leveraging YAML’s strengths for structured definitions. No bug fixes were required during this period, reflecting a targeted and well-scoped engineering contribution.
