Worked on the EightfoldAI/octuple repository to enhance accessibility for the date range picker component, focusing on improving usability for screen reader users. Leveraged React and Storybook to implement ARIA label support by adding aria-label props to both the start and end inputs, ensuring these enhancements were integrated with the internal range picker logic. Developed demonstration materials within Storybook to showcase the new accessibility features and validated consistent ARIA label behavior across the component. Utilized JavaScript and TypeScript to deliver these improvements, addressing compliance requirements and broadening the component’s usability for a wider range of users without introducing new bugs.
