In April 2025, Gerchiko expanded test coverage in the web-platform-tests/wpt repository by developing a new pointer drag test for input type='range' elements. Focusing on both mouse and touch interactions, Gerchiko implemented automated tests in JavaScript and HTML to validate horizontal and vertical drag behaviors, ensuring accurate value updates and proper touch-action handling. The work involved porting existing test assets and integrating them into the Web Platform Tests workflow, emphasizing cross-browser consistency and early regression detection. By concentrating on front end development and JavaScript testing, Gerchiko reinforced the reliability of input controls across devices without addressing major bug fixes that month.
