During July 2025, contributed to the apache/camel repository by developing a cryptographically secure UUIDv4 generation option for the simple UUID function. This work introduced a new RandomUuidGenerator leveraging a cryptographically strong random number generator to enhance the security and reliability of identifier creation in distributed systems. The implementation was completed in Java, with supporting documentation written in adoc to clearly describe the new feature. Comprehensive tests were added to validate both the UUIDv4 format and the quality of the random number generation. The focus remained on feature delivery and quality assurance, with no major bug fixes addressed during this period.
