Worked on the DataDog/datadog-agent repository to modernize the CI/CD pipeline by migrating git cloning from an S3-based caching strategy to the gitretriever tool. This transition involved updating GitLab CI configuration files written in YAML, removing S3 dependencies, and adopting fetch or clone strategies to streamline the infrastructure. The changes reduced pipeline complexity and minimized cache-related failure modes, resulting in more reliable and faster builds. Additionally, introduced telemetry instrumentation to track the impact of these improvements through a dedicated Datadog dashboard metric. Demonstrated skills in CI/CD, devops, and configuration management while collaborating across teams to deliver this feature.
