Worked on stabilizing provider installation within the hashicorp/terraform repository by addressing a regression that impacted reliability across user environments and CI pipelines. Focused on Go development and provider management, the work involved reverting the use of HTTP HEAD requests during provider downloads, which had introduced installation failures and network issues. The solution was validated through both local and CI testing to ensure consistent behavior in provider installation flows. Additionally, the regression and its resolution were thoroughly documented to support future debugging and onboarding. This targeted bug fix improved the stability and clarity of the provider installation process without introducing new features.
