Applied expertise in build systems and patching to ensure that .bml example data files are correctly copied when the USE=example flag is enabled, aligning the installation flow with Gentoo’s conventions. Utilized Shell scripting to update the ebuild, improving reliability and reproducibility across diverse user environments. Validated the fix by testing various USE flag scenarios, which reduced installation failures and improved onboarding for new users. Documented the changes clearly for future maintenance and auditability within the repository’s workflow.
