In October 2025, Oronen expanded capacity modeling coverage in the Netflix-Skunkworks/service-capacity-modeling repository by adding support for AWS i4i and i3en instance families. Using Python and leveraging expertise in capacity planning and system configuration, Oronen introduced new configurations to INSTANCE_TYPES and updated related tests to accommodate larger disk sizes. This work improved the accuracy of capacity projections and broadened hardware support for the modeling tool, ensuring alignment with evolving cloud infrastructure. The changes focused on enhancing planning reliability for newer AWS instances, reflecting a targeted and technically sound approach to maintaining robust cloud computing solutions within the project’s scope.
