Leveraged Python for backend development, subscribing to the parent device’s Reachable attribute and updating the child’s availability state in real time. This approach improved device status accuracy and addressed issue #169983 by ensuring that changes in parent reachability are immediately reflected in child devices. Focused on unit testing to validate the new propagation logic, the work contributed to a more trustworthy user experience by aligning device availability reporting with actual network conditions and system expectations.
