Worked on reliability and correctness improvements for the Shopify/cli repository, focusing on domain normalization logic. Addressed a bug by implementing a strict rule that enforces the .myshopify.io suffix for all store FQDNs, preventing incorrect domain normalization and misrouting across different environments. Updated unit tests to reflect this new normalization rule, ensuring consistency between local development and production. The work emphasized stability and safer deployments rather than new feature development. Utilized Node.js and TypeScript to deliver these changes, with a strong emphasis on unit testing to reduce environment-specific issues and improve domain routing reliability across Shopify/cli deployments.
