Worked on enhancing the RpcClient lifecycle management in the apache/ozone repository, focusing on backend development and concurrency management using Java. Delivered a core feature that introduced an idempotent close API for RpcClient, ensuring repeated close operations no longer generate warnings or errors. Developed a new Handle class to manage ContainerClientMetrics, which improved resource lifecycle handling and reduced the risk of resource leaks. These changes increased the robustness and observability of the RpcClient, streamlining resource cleanup and minimizing operational noise in logs. The work addressed lifecycle reliability and contributed to safer, more maintainable backend infrastructure within the project.
