Worked on deployment reliability in the kgateway-dev/kgateway repository by addressing replica management when the Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA) is disabled. Delivered a targeted bug fix that suppresses replica counts in deployment configurations under non-HPA scaling conditions, ensuring stable deployments and preventing resource over- or under-provisioning. The solution was implemented using YAML and leveraged DevOps practices with Helm and Kubernetes to improve operational consistency across environments. This approach enhanced deployment stability during scale events and contributed to better resource efficiency. All changes were traceable through signed-off commits and clear issue linkage, reflecting a focus on code quality and maintainability.
