
Pooja Balaji enhanced the Benchling-Open-Source/allotropy repository by developing a schema extension for fluorescence-cube-detector chromatography workflows. She refactored the liquid chromatography schema to introduce measurementDocumentItems and updated the chromatogram data cube to use retention time instead of elapsed time for fluorescence measurements. This work, implemented in Python with a focus on data modeling and schema design, addressed part of issue #811 and improved the fidelity of fluorescence liquid chromatography analytics. Pooja’s contribution increased the maintainability and extensibility of the schema, enabling more accurate retention-time-driven insights for downstream data analysis in open-source scientific workflows.
