They replaced a deprecated URL literal with a standard string literal in flake.nix, ensuring the configuration aligns with current Nixpkgs standards and remains compatible across different Nix implementations. This targeted fix, implemented using Nix and leveraging their expertise in Nix configuration, eliminated a deprecation risk that could disrupt builds and onboarding for new contributors.
