Over a two-month period, contributed to the harness/mcp-server repository by designing and implementing core chaos engineering APIs using TypeScript and backend development skills. Developed a comprehensive API surface for managing chaos experiment templates, including CRUD operations for experiments, faults, probes, and actions, while introducing standardized chaos constants to ensure consistency across tools. Enhanced the platform with lifecycle management endpoints, enabling safer and more reliable chaos testing workflows. Later, consolidated chaos operations under a unified API manager, added disaster recovery testing capabilities, and improved error handling and pipeline integration, resulting in a more robust, production-ready foundation for controlled chaos experimentation.
April 2026 (2026-04) — Harness MCP Server: Delivered a robust Chaos Engineering API overhaul with centralized chaos management, DR testing capabilities, and improved error handling to increase production readiness. Consolidated chaos operations under a unified API surface, stabilized endpoint paths (notably /chaos), and refined pipeline interactions with updated runtime variables and input-set management. Implemented server- and client-side enhancements to improve reliability, observability, and cross-service integration, establishing a solid foundation for controlled chaos experiments and disaster-recovery validation in production.
