Worked on the membraneframework/boombox repository to enhance the robustness and configurability of RTSP input handling for streaming pipelines. Focused on backend development using Elixir, the work introduced a configurable allowed_media_types option in the RTSP input adapter, preventing crashes from unsupported audio codecs and enabling video-only streams. Input handling was refactored to normalize both 2-tuple and 3-tuple formats, ensuring downstream consistency and backward compatibility. Comprehensive end-to-end tests were implemented to validate these changes, while dependencies were upgraded to address edge cases and maintain stability. The improvements support more resilient, business-ready streaming workflows using modern streaming protocols.
