Ramja developed a managed connection pooling feature for PostgreSQL in Cloud SQL (Enterprise Plus) within the GoogleCloudPlatform/cloud-foundation-fabric repository. Leveraging Terraform and HCL, Ramja updated the module to expose new variables and resource configurations, allowing users to enable and customize connection pooling for their database workloads. This engineering work focused on reducing connection overhead and improving throughput by efficiently managing pooled connections, particularly during peak usage. The implementation addressed enterprise requirements for scalable database management and resource optimization. Ramja’s contribution demonstrated depth in Cloud SQL, PostgreSQL, and infrastructure-as-code practices, delivering a targeted solution to enhance performance and operational efficiency.
