During March 2025, work focused on modernizing the confluentinc/control-center-images repository by adopting UBI9 as the new base image and integrating a monitoring stack. This involved creating Dockerfiles for Prometheus and Alertmanager, then incorporating them into the build and deployment pipelines using CI/CD practices. The approach standardized deployment environments and improved the security posture by leveraging updated Linux distributions and containerization best practices. By enabling centralized metrics and alerting, the changes facilitated faster incident detection and response. The work demonstrated proficiency in Docker, Shell scripting, and Linux, with an emphasis on observability integration and robust pipeline alignment for ongoing maintainability.
