Worked on the projectcalico/calico repository to deliver a targeted feature enhancing the Calico Client’s correctness and synchronization. Developed an OS-aware BGP PeerWatcher Configuration Check in Go, enabling the client to detect whether localBGPPeerWatcher is configured and adapt its synchronization behavior accordingly. This approach reduces the risk of misconfiguration in production environments by aligning with OS-specific requirements, ultimately improving deployment reliability. The work demonstrated strong backend development skills, robust conditional logic, and adherence to repository CI standards. No major bug fixes were reported during this period, with efforts focused on precise, maintainable code changes that streamline troubleshooting for Calico users.
