Worked on the frc2399/2025-season repository, focusing on improving the KrakenElevatorHardware component within an embedded robotics codebase. The primary contribution involved documenting the ELEVATOR_SENSOR_TO_MECHANISM_RATIO calculation, clarifying its purpose and usage for future maintainers. Additionally, obsolete commented code was removed to streamline the file and reduce maintenance overhead. All changes were non-functional, ensuring that system behavior remained stable while enhancing code readability and maintainability. Demonstrated skills in embedded systems, robotics, and software engineering, with work primarily in Java. These efforts supported better onboarding and set a foundation for safer future refactoring without introducing new features or bug fixes.
