Worked on enhancing license compliance and metadata accuracy within the clearlydefined/curated-data repository over a two-month period, focusing on data curation and license management. Addressed two licensing bugs by updating YAML-based metadata for Python and Maven packages, ensuring correct license declarations for charset-normalizer (MIT) and error-prone annotations (Apache-2.0) across multiple versions. The approach involved precise edits to YAML curation files, aligning license information with SPDX standards to support accurate license scanning and downstream compliance. This work improved the reliability of curated datasets, reduced distribution risk, and provided clear traceability for license corrections, emphasizing careful attention to compliance requirements and data integrity.
