Addressed runtime API conflicts by resolving environment ID issues and refactored the audio subsystem for maintainability, including decoder integration improvements and an in-tree MP3 decoder to prevent symbol collisions. Employed C, SDL3, and systems programming skills to reorganize data structures, update build systems, and enhance input and audio pipelines, resulting in a more robust, maintainable, and cross-platform codebase for RetroArch.
