Worked on the vmware/govmomi repository to enhance virtualization workflows by improving both reliability and configurability. Developed new command-line flags for the govc CLI, enabling more granular control over namespace service creation and supporting enterprise automation needs. Addressed deployment stability by pinning the vcsim container’s base image to a specific Alpine version, reducing risk from upstream changes and ensuring predictable builds. Integrated these changes with CI pipelines and documentation to streamline maintenance and reduce operational overhead. Leveraged Go for backend and CLI development, applying containerization and DevOps practices to deliver solutions that support robust, automated infrastructure management in production environments.
