Rushabh worked on the truefoundry/infra-charts repository, focusing on enhancing the tfy-agent’s capabilities for network management within Kubernetes environments. He extended the agent’s permissions by updating the ClusterRole configuration, allowing it to manage Istio gateways in addition to existing virtual services. This adjustment, implemented as a minor Helm chart change using YAML, enabled automated and governance-compliant interactions with Istio gateways, supporting more flexible networking configurations. The work was targeted and incremental, addressing a specific operational need without introducing unnecessary complexity. Rushabh’s contribution demonstrated practical application of Helm and Kubernetes skills to improve infrastructure automation and access control.
