In February 2025, Sam Pang developed a foundational footer component skeleton for the WiCS-Website repository, focusing on front end development using Astro. The work established a maintainable structure for a site-wide footer, setting the stage for future content and interactive features. By aligning the component with repository standards, Sam ensured consistency across the user interface and reduced integration risks for subsequent updates. Although no bugs were addressed during this period, the contribution provided a clear, traceable starting point for ongoing UX improvements. The technical approach emphasized modularity and maintainability, supporting faster iterations and easier long-term enhancements to the website’s design.
